Our Founder Sri H V Nanjundiah was a freedom fighter, who shortly after independence joined a popular tea company. He was deputed in Bangalore as the sales in charge. On realizing that the profits of the company was still sent to the England as “brand royalty” ,he decided that the best way to contribute to his beloved country was to embark on an entrepreneurial journey.
Being a sole bread winner for a large family in abject poverty didn’t deter him from this goal. With little experience, no money, nothing but his will and his devotion, he started a small company on the busy streets of BVK Iyengar road called “Prakash Tea Agency”. Against all odds he nurtured the company into the one that is today .
